SUFFOLK HOUSE ANGLO INDIAN BRUNCH TIFFIN

Baru-baru ini, iolss telah mendapat satu invitation dari seorang Ratu yUeSeM untuk pergi ke satu press release of the new Anglo-Indian Brunch Tiffin di Suffolk House Penang. Penah la iolss terbaca tentang Suffolk House ni kat blog beliau. Then tak disangka2 ibarat orang mengantuk and disorongkan tilam empuk Vono, iolss telah mengikut beliau dengan menaiki Cik Dorrie Limousin 4 pintu beliau... Sebagai seorang anak ayam yang suchi, iolss terkesima dengan kehebatan pemanduan Marhayam iolss.. dia memandu kereta MANUAL oke. Sentap seketika..hahha

Nenjiaaaa.mak hayam iolss..cun x? opppss..ini wanita siapa yang punya? En khafi yang punya.. wuwuuwu ( feeling2 dalam filem ahmab albab) =)
baiklah.. lets start with the super delicious, mouth-watering Anglo Indian Brunch Tiffin session.
before we start, better semua ada idea tentang what is actualy Anglo-Indian. Secara simplenye, ANglo Indian ni adalah satu keturunan susur galur yang mana ketika penjajahan British di India, ada dalam kalangan mereka yang telah berkahwin dengan penduduk asal di India. Hasilnya lahirlah a new family of human yang dipanggil Anglo-Indian yang juga dikenali sebagai Eurosian.

Anglo-Indians are people who have mixed Indian and British ancestry, or people of British descent born or living in India, Pakistan, or Myanmar, now mainly historical in the latter sense. British residents in India used the term "Eurasians" for people of mixed European and Indian descent (cf. George Orwell's Burmese Days). The Oxford Dictionary's definition of "Anglo-Indian" is "Of mixed British and Indian parentage, of Indian descent but born or living in Britain, or (chiefly historical) of British descent or birth but living or having lived long in India"

Baiklah daripada iolss melalut-lalut kemana hala.. lets begin.
Before that, not to be forgotten , this Suffolk House is amazingly enchanting. It brought us to the captivating views of the real British building, plus with exact and real British-styled interior. As you step-in into the area, you can feel the serenity and peacefulness of the place.

Eat.. Eat.. and Eat!! its heaven yoo...
baiklah berbekalkan reputasi sebagai Chef yang terkenal di dalam family iolss.iolss akan mengkritik dan mengomen ttg food yang disediakan pada hari dan masa tersebut.

Staters : Fish Cakes, Egg Moilege and Sweet Cucumber in Cold Yougart
Untuk starters,all three dishes are really appetizing. Fish cakes tu macam begedil but yang mendifferentkan fish cakes ni dengan begedil yang selalunya didapati kat kedai mamak ialah, ia dibuat daripada isi ikan yang sangat lembut, perapan rempah dan bahan seimbang yang mana isi ikan tidak terlalu hancur dan bahan sampingan juga masih boleh dirasai. So sape yang merasai Fish Cakes ini akan merasai tekstur hidangan tersebut. The best part of this dish, it was crispy from outside, but tender from the inside. Then for the Egg Moilege, hidangan ni also nice, tender n well boiled egg, fried and they served it with creamy curry Sauce. And last but not least untuk starters, we had a Sweet Cucumber in Cold Yogurt (ala-ala acar timun juz taruk yogurt instead of cuka). i love this one the most for the stater, simple but refreshing.

Soup : Mulligatawny Soup
i love this soup. macam mana nak cakap eh.. ok iolls nak cakap yang iolss suka dengan sup ni. Not to creamy but not to lite. it was well- balance. Bila uolss hirup sup yang sedap ini, uolss akan dapat rasai bau dan aroma herba dan kemanisan daripada bahan yang terkandung dalam soup tersebut mengigit lidah dan anak tekak uolss. dalam soup ini bukan sahaja ada lobak merah, ada celeri, ade sweet potatoes and paling penting ada epal hijau yang create a new flavour of the soup. In one simple word, the soup is FLAVOURFUL..

Main Course : Anglo Indian Chicken Curry, Shallow-Fried Fish in Coriander and Tamarind Sauce , vegetable Korma, Stirfried Indian Courgette , Fragrant Lime Rice and Tomato Chutney.
fuhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..blimey!! at the moment they served all the main courseon the table , even ada miss venezuela pakai baju kurung kaler biru di hadapan, mata iolss tetap tertumpu pada Shallow-Fried Fish in Coriander and Tamarind Sauce itteww.it was well presented, the taste of the fish brings me straight to heaven. The fish was very tender, well marinated and what can i say is, the chef manage to preserved the taste of the fish without killing the freshness of it. AWESOME! to compliment the fish, they served Fragrant Lime Rice.sERIOUSLY, nasik dia wangi wesss. Ada rasa minyak sapi and bau limau.Plus, when you eat with Stirfried Indian Courgette, hangpa akan dapat feeling2 berada di India dalam filem Jodhaa Akhbar. Stirfried Indian Courgette ni very special, u can taste the Indian styled of cooking, ada biji sawi, ada halba and rempah ratus, bau dia saja dah buat air lir uols kecur.. Begitu juga dengan Vegetable Korma, mesti baru dengar kan? Selalunya orang buat Kurma kambing, kurma ayam, but this time, kitaorg rasa kurma sayur.

Stirfried Indian Courgette
Dessert : Caramel Custard, Almond Chocolate Fudge and Vanilla Ice-cream with Mangoes Puree.

tadaaaaaaaaaaa.. Dah makan sedap-sedap... mestilah kene cuci calat mulut kan.. Of-Course la the best part of having any meal, kene ade dessert or pencuci mulut. The trio dessert was the best compliment of all the starters, soup and main course. The dessert complete our journey to the world of Anglo Indian world. The Almond Chocolate Fudge was amazing. Cokelatnya sangat la smooth and sedap. the cake part also very tender,soft and well-baked. 5 stars for the cake.An the vanilla Ice cReam with the mangoes puree pun tersangatlah sedap ( balik umah ni nak blend isi mangga n makan dengan ice-cream vanila). Lastly, sebagai peminat No1 puding karamel, Caramel Custard yang dihidangkan sangatlah berbaloi untuk dinikmati.

in a nutshell (hahaha.sekam sgt).. Everyone should try the Suffolk House Anglo-Indian Brunch Tiffin ini kerana uolss akan merasai makanan Anglo-Indian yang lain daripada yang lain. Sesekali why not, treat and pampered urself untuk menikmati hidangan sebegini. Bukan sahaja uolss kenyang, but uolss boleh mencabar kebolehan pada deria rasa uolss.. x payah terbang jauh-jauh pi India, this kind of food ada kat Penang darul Hotness ni. U will not only learn about food, u will learn about people and u will learn about yourself... sy sangat berbsesar hati untuk recommend people especially orang-orang yang ingin membawa client untuk berbincang tentang bisness and untuk kawan-kawan yang ingin rasakan satu istirehat yang berbeza, anda bolehlah datang ke sini. Bak motto The Suffolk House , "The full picture takes your breath away."
